Halloween 2008

Dublin had trick or treating on the 30th for some strange reason! Our neighborhood is a trick or treater's dream come true. The kids went out for an hour and their buckets were overflowing! It was a fun evening for the Grim Reaper and the Good Witch!! Andrew dressed up as a clown, but we neglected to get a picture...too bad. :(

Leed's Farm

Leed's Farm is near Dublin and is a popular destination in the fall. They have lots of fun stuff for the kids. We spent an afternoon there with our friends.

Last spring, at the end of Kindergarten, Eli's class planted sunflower seeds. Eli brought his home and we took good care of it all summer. Here are the results! The remnants of Hurricane Ike came through last Sunday and we had winds that gusted up to 78 miles per hour. We thought it might mean the end of the sunflower, but it held on tight! Click on the little movie box in the second picture to see our blustery day.

We went to Chicago over Labor Day weekend. To celebrate Emma's turning 10, we took her to the American Girl store. We also checked out the Shedd Aqaurium, a baseball game at Wrigley Field and some of Chicago's unique outdoor art. Below is a picture of the Bean.

Emma spotted these balloons in the sky on our way home from dinner. We had fun chasing them through Dublin and were able to watch three of them land. An unexpected adventure!
